    Amazon, eBay Face Off Over Online Sales Tax before House Panel
    In a hearing about the online sales-tax issue, eBay told Congress that if small business retailers using the Internet were gaining unfair advantages from current remote sales tax laws, their share of Internet sales would be growing, but is not. Overstock.com joined eBay in opposing Federal legislation, telling lawmakers that the implementation cost for really small sellers would be higher than the tax collected, while Amazon reiterated its support of such a law.
